ESCAPING THE PRISON OF MIND

Fri Jan 11, 2013, 6:19 PM
Hello Everybody,

At last, I come to a point that I have some free space  in my mind, after a long time, to express my feelings here in DA; that I am soon finishing my PhD study. Still having one last busy week with some 'minor but as a whole heavy' tasks to finish submitting my PhD thesis.

How I feel can be referred to the situation of my brain which is almost on the edge to vaporize, meanwhile carrying the happiness due to my contributions to science with humble observations provided by means of my articles, and PhD.

In order to be a normal person back again, I want to go to my hometown in my home country to reset my brain with my parents and then with my friends. I lost some energy in my soul more than what my body lost. Just a desire to stop thinking, no electronics (especially computer and phone - Luckily, I hate TV already), and live a simple life with apple as fruit not a phone.

During my break times of heavy working times, I discovered the taste of time-lapse video despite knowing that for a while. I ordered a 'remote controller' -a must for time-lapse video capturing- as a gift for myself and then after being PhD study-free, I will capture sequential photos of a changing moment to be compiled as a video, the time-lapse.

I will be back in DA with photos and also with this new aimed-concept for me, the time-lapse and here are the inspiring videos for me, and, hopefully, for you.

Enjoy:

A weird life story is being written.. Despite having a nice environment I have been stacked in my room working a lot (let's say 7/11 like day/night) due to my close end of my PhD and short-term study in Canada. I forgot my hobbies, I forgot myself with my likeness in life, I want to enjoy somethings but I have to finish one stage in my life..

I don't know if I can enjoy Japan which I will visit next week since every world seems to be a new world now, it's most probably because I have too fast life in different places and been missing the chance to integrate into society. Or society is out of scope on me except the times that I have been in hard work..

No time, working hard, getting fat, stopping drinking but while understanding the necessity of drinking ultra-while thinking a lot of past (and starting drinking again) with now and with future being considered simultaneously..

What I dream that I want to share with you is: Going back home to be, just!, with my parents: to know them and to let them know new me.. Whatever the season is; working as a labor for gardening in my parent's summer house and resting my soul while communicating with it.. Meanwhile forgetting the politics of the world, the mathematical equations, measuring/balancing myself while trying to forget the close-past together with long-past and with history,.. I can hear your questions saying "What about art?".. Don't know but just want to live the art of gardening like a play in the sand box as a child.. As I said; resting my soul.. The soil is calling me!

Man-Made Nature

Sat May 12, 2012, 9:07 AM
This feature was prepared in the inspiration of Sand Animation (Sand Art), that I suppose  you may have already seen... It is an art show representing the creativity of mankind with use of natural element, the sand; therefore nobody should miss it. Although you have seen it before, watch again in order to please your soul with the melody of the music given along the art show and also with different forms of drawings created on a sand layer.. Here is the link for this fascinating art: Sand Animation (Blog Page with Collection of Movies)

And a feature of precious deviations, presenting the utilization of natural elements in different forms.

Like a Bird

Sun May 6, 2012, 10:42 AM
An inspiring animation movie named as Hezarfen made me get around to feature of stunning deviations despite of my busy article-writing time due to coming end of my PhD education, after which you have to call me as Dr. WorldsInWorld :D. Although writing scientific papers is a tiring work, I think I am getting addicted to it day by day.

I have been watching this animation movie (you can see the link to watch it below this text) sometimes in order to enjoy my spare time. The details in the animation movie with its unique scenario formed have been encouraging me to have better art understanding for now in my photography skill. Hope you will also enjoy watching the animation movie and feel "Like a Bird" while viewing the deviation collection of this feature.

Something Different

Sat Apr 21, 2012, 6:06 PM
Something different, what I want is
Neither like a tree nor a cloud
The land I will go, is not same as here
Its sea is a distinct sea,
Its climate is a distinct climate...

CAN YÜCEL

Two adventurist Turkish guys who got bored of having ordinary life cycle decided to have a world trip. They have visited 27 countries to round out their world trip; each trip having its unique memory and lively moments as being shown in their web page Başka Türlü Birşey (in English) . They called "Something Different" for these different worlds, which was based on the song Yeni Türkü - Başka Türlü Birşey (Click to Listen) having the lyrics of a famous Turkish poet Can Yücel (wiki page) .

You can live their trip-stories with the moments they have frozen with their cameras and with their lively video.

I have been watching their video for a long time over and over again. Each time while watching it I am getting the inspiration of  travelling the world, again and again, to enjoy living the different worlds in the world.

Minimalist Composition

Minimum amount of components telling all together a big story: that is what the minimalist composition is based on. Look how these deviants create a story with less amount of elements..  Please look at the title of each photograph (by clicking each of them) to see the stories what these artists are telling us.

These photos are examples of "Minimalist Composition" collection among different unique pieces of minimalist composition photographs featured in the group "Photo-Logic-Sense"  :iconphoto-logic-sense:

Moving to Canada

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 29, 2012, 2:12 AM

Busy times have passed and now I am ready with "What to Bring with Me List" to be used in the last day while packing my luggage. The though part of moving is that there are lots of things to be considered while moving out even for a stay with 6 months of duration. The reason for this stay is to have a short-term project to be carried out in collaboration with a professor in the "University of Ontario Institute of Technology" at Oshawa, Toronto. Actually I have some stress due to uncertainty of the unknown regarding to a new place to live, while having happiness of the opportunity to find out new culture, country, places to be photographed and of course leaving Denmark for a long time duration since I couldn't have had close friends in two years time here in Denmark despite my friendly personality.

Here is the route, planned to be followed with the mood I have for each:

Tomorrow the destination is going to be Reykjavik, Iceland. I, all the time, like to use the opportunity of the flight transits by staying at the transit city for some nights, which enables enjoying the city (in this case 3 nights) while decreasing the effects of Jet Lag. One stone two birds :) . Iceland seems to be a perfect place to visit for us, the photographers due to its having variety of natural phenomena occurring there (Northern Lights, Geysers, Waterfalls, Blue Lagoon, etc.). Hope I can have nice shots, while enjoying the relaxing geothermal spa, the Blue Lagoon, which I need a lot indeed.

Then, I will arrive to my final destination, Toronto, Canada and then bus trip to Oshawa in which I am going to have my stay for six months. Luckily I found my accommodation in a dormitory located in the university which makes me relaxed since I need to work hard for the first three months in order to have some free time later to enjoy Canada. I heart that Canadian people are friendly, which exactly what I need after COLD Denmark. However I have the mood of "being in case" with the afraid of encountering the same of what I have had in Denmark as bad attitudes towards me, discrimination, being afraid of, etc. I don't think I will be exposed such things there in Canada but still the experiences gained in Denmark keeps me having the idea "No Expectation".

After six months I am going to return back to Denmark to finalize my PhD study. Busy times then to write the thesis and to get prepared to defense the thesis to thesis committee consist of experts, professors etc. which they will change my life like hell for a couple hours. Hope not :)

Cross your fingers for me for the new and hopefully an enjoyable life, and safe trip :)
